So what the heck is EFT?
It's a simple process called Emotional Freedom Technique.
It may just change your life. I may also give you an open door to move through the things that are currently pressing down on you. It may provide you with a natural at your fingertips way to help yourself at the moment when you feel you need support. EFT is a self-managed state of mind involving breathing, thought and physical touch that can bring you calmness, relaxation, and clarity.
What an EFT Session is not.
EFT is not a replacement for medical therapy, nor a platform for medical diagnosis, not a treatment for a medical condition that requires the care and attention of your Medical MD.
Who can benefit from an EFT Session?
Everyone.
EFT is often used to help with managing the oppressing feeling of being overwhelmed, aiding in calming the feelings and physical impacts of anxiety, help with cravings, manage work stress, provide calmness in relationship stress, and even regain clarity to work through issues that you may have been repressing for years as your unresolved emotions can become 'stuck' not just in your mind, but also your body, which may come to the surface for you to properly process and move through.
Whether you're a new Mama just trying to cope with the pulls and pressures that come along with motherhood including coping with a newborn, learning to adjust to a new sleep pattern, feeling overwhelmed, feeling worried about your relationship with your significant other. Perhaps you're having a difficult time managing your feelings while your toddler goes through the motions of learning boundaries while using their body language and voice, and even dealing with teenagers and the unimaginable stresses that come along with that phase of Motherhood. EFT can help you to go from an 8 or 10 (measured scale of your negative feelings) down to a 0 (our goal) or even 2 or a 3 at the moment you need to and want to be more present in your parenting and done with love and confidence while feeling more in line with yourself and as the Mother, you know you are at heart.
PPD (Postpartum Depression/Anxiety & Baby Blues) & EFT.
Having a baby is tough. Having a baby in a new marriage is tough. Having a baby on your own is tough. Having a second baby is tough. Having a baby with outside expectations and pressures from family members is tough. Having a second baby is tough. Having a baby and balancing self-care is tough.
The feeling of 'hard' to you regardless of your circumstances is the exact same way the feeling of 'hard' feels to others.

The feeling of 'hard' is a personal feeling that no one can judge you for feeling. No one.

70-80% of women experience some form of baby blues or postpartum depression in the days shortly after giving birth due to hormone changes, history of depression, coping levels of stress, or something as simple as lack of sleep.

EFT may provide you with a platform to release the feelings of Postpartum Depression and anxiety and help you to refocus your energy on self-love and self-forgiveness, along with a small reminder to make space for yourself and gently walk toward a nap, sunshine, music, a phone call with your sister or a simple hot cup of tea. What happens during my EFT Session?
Before your EFT Session with me, we will share a cup of coffee over the phone or virtually to have a brief complimentary consultation. During this time, we will have a friendly chat about the challenges you're facing and the more immediate feelings that are surfacing for you right now.
At the beginning of your session, you will be asked to rate your current state of mind/level of emotion. I will help you to determine this as you tune into your body while thinking about the issue you wish to address.
We tap on the meridian points of your body (on your head, and upper body), together. You follow my lead and we work through the routine together and repeatedly. Tapping does not hurt and can be done by anyone. Tapping is most effective when your head and heart to be in the same place at the same time, which may not be the case when you arrive, but we will get you there.
Throughout the session, I will ask you to continue to rate what you are feeling, with the intention of talking you from a high number of distress, to a low number of calmness and openness.
Booking a series of EFT Sessions with me, allows you to further delve into the most pressing issue a little bit more, and also allows for further exploring into the subsequent feelings that may come along with your initial EFT Session. As you process your feelings and other 'stuck' emotions by sorting through them with more sessions, it will allow you to breathe better, see and feel lighter and with more clarity in your day, your self-talk and in your role as a mother, woman, wife by restoring the energy balance in your mind and body that a negative (big or small) experience may have created an imbalance in.
